Take a look at this fantastic T1 restoration that we delivered to ??Switzerland??!!! Click on the section in the list below to go to the desired section. Combi Kombi took care of the entire restoration as well as the logistics to Europe and the registration of this beautiful bus in Switzerland.

Stage 1: Metal Work

Here are some pictures of the Metal Work of this fantastic T1 Bus. Now we are ready to paint this beauty!!

Stage 2: Paint Preparation

In this stage we prepare the metal for the final product and ensure that there is a smooth surface for painting.

Stage 3: Painting

Here we are painting the bus in specific colors that the client has decided and that even match the Swiss Flag!

Stage 4: Mechanics and Undercarriage

Now we are installing all the mechanical parts and also the VW heater, which was a special request from the customer. We install new brakes, a new engine and transmission and a completely new suspension.

Stage 5: Motor

All elements of the engine are 100% replaced. They are all new and the engine casing is also completely restored.

Stage 6: Interior Upholstery

The Interior Upholstery on this T1 Bulli was also special, as the customer wanted a style that matched their company logo and colors.

Stage 7: Exterior

These are the last pictures of the bus before it was sent to Sao Paulo, where we will start installing special parts in our custom workshop.

Stage 8: Client Specific Assembly

When the bus arrived in Sao Paulo and just before export to Europe, we installed some special accessories. Here is the list of these parts.

  • Chrome roof rack with side ladder
  • Special custom made steering wheel
  • Wood finishing behind the driver’s seat
  • Curtains
  • Rear safari window
  • Rear window bars
  • Lower side chrome trim
  • Chrome Bumper trim

Stage 9: Container Loading

We loaded the bus into a container and now it is ready to be shipped to Europe. We take care of it in our own Workshop because it is safer, so we can control all aspects.

Stage 10: Arrival in Antwerp

The bus arrived safely in Antwerp and is now ready for delivery to Switzerland.

Stage 11: Arrival in Switzerland

This beautiful T1 has finally arrived in Switzerland!!! Now it will be adapted for Swiss registration.

Stage 12: Client Delivery with Swiss MFK

After some modifications and Swiss quality parts, the bus was finally registered and delivered to our happy customer in the French part of Switzerland.
