This bus will undergo a partial restoration in our specialized restoration shop. We will strengthen the structure with a T2 axle and leave the motor and transmission out. When the bus arrives at it’s destination in Germany, the company E-Cap Mobility out of Hamburg will install an electric direct drive motor. Stage 1: Arrival
The bus has just been brought to the shop and is ready to start a thorough transformation process.
Stage 2: Sandblasting
In order to remove the paint, scratches and casting marks from the surface of the metal, the bus goes through a meticulous stripping process that also allows getting rid of rust and residue from oxidation from materials quickly and efficiently.
Stage 3: Disassembly
The bus is dismantled: some parts are going to be restored apart from the rest of the structure and only then, they will be welded back together. Others will be replaced depending on their integrity.
Stage 4: Rear panel
After dismantling the bus part by part, it was found better to replace part of the rear panels for a better final result.
