About This 1934 Delage D8-15

Founded in 1905 by Louis Delage, the Delage marque became one of France’s most prestigious luxury automobile manufacturers, renowned for combining advanced engineering with the craftsmanship of Europe’s greatest coachbuilders.

Introduced after the legendary Delage D8, the D8-15 offered the same refinement and elegance in a lighter, more practical package, powered by a smooth and reliable inline eight-cylinder engine.

Its chassis attracted the finest French coachbuilders, including Chapron, Figoni, Saoutchik, Pourtout and Letourneur et Marchand, whose elegant Saloon coachwork is featured on this exceptional automobile.

This particular vehicle is believed to have been originally delivered to a château in Normandy, where it remained before World War II. Having survived the German occupation, it spent nearly ninety years in France before being exported to the United States in 2022.

The vehicle underwent a complete restoration after being carefully dismantled by a previous owner and has since remained in outstanding mechanical and cosmetic condition.

Today it is recognized as a Full Classic® by the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA), one of the most prestigious distinctions in the collector car world.
